The old Easter fixtures
I see the Championship teams are playing Good Friday and Easter Monday
Was always a key part of the season as the title and relegation heats up but has been canned by the Premier league presumably because the European competitions schedule their quarter finals on all the surrounding weeks.
Terrible shame

Great Easter weekends
1994
West Ham 2 Ipswich 1
Spurs 1 West Ham 4

Indeed mate.
I will always believe we could have won it that year if it wasn't for the fucking postponement of so many games.
We didn't play for weeks...then payed for it at the end.

Surface - As a 9 year old I was at the infamous 2-8 Blackburn game. Half our lads looked pissed.

Re: The old Easter fixtures
The 4-1 win against Spurs was the first time I remember really celebrating goals and a win, the first time I got that immense satisfaction of a big win against rivals.

I will always remember my Mum being annoyed as my old man just stood there laughing while I jumped around on the sofa, he waited until after the game to give me a rollocking.

Happy days!

Can remember Brian Dear scoring five goals in twenty minutes against West Brom.

Didn't we beat Everton away once with Tommy Breaker scoring? Or did I have too many Cream Eggs.
